Scammers can “spoof” the name and number on a phone call or text message in the hopes that you will answer. As a reminder: SCU Credit Union will never contact you and request information like PIN, account numbers, Social Security Numbers and online banking passwords. You should not give out or confirm any of this information unless YOU initiated the phone call. Use caution if you are being pressured for information immediately or if there is a sense of urgency.

SCU Credit Union celebrates World Kindness Day

winnerNovember 13th marked World Kindness Day and SCU Credit Union celebrated all week long with acts of kindness in the local community.

On Monday, November 14th, SCU Credit Union President/CEO Glenn Parsons traveled to several grocery stores and surprised shoppers by handing out over $3,500 in gift cards to people he met in the aisles. The Credit Union also ran a giveaway on Facebook where six entrants were randomly selected to win a $150 grocery store gift card.

SCU Credit Union also donated $6,000 to local non-profit organizations. Parsons explained, “Giving back to the communities we serve is a core value at SCU Credit Union. With that in mind, we felt it was important to celebrate World Kindness Day.”
