Job Openings: Social Media and Community Cooridnator

Location of Position:Hybrid Schedule Available


Primary Function:

The Social Media and Community Coordinator is responsible for managing the Credit Union’s online reputation by developing social media strategies, creating content, and executing campaigns that increase audience engagement. This position will research opportunities to enhance our social media activities and the Credit Union’s presence online in a meaningful way. The Social Media and Community Coordinator will track and analyze the success of the Credit Union’s social media campaigns and advertising. The Social Media and Community Coordinator will also attend, support and promote community sponsorships and events across different social media channels.

Scope of Position:

  • Launch, manage and develop timely and relevant content (written, video, and photo) that promotes and grows online engagement for social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, You Tube, etc.

  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns.

  • Responsible for educational blog posts that support the Credit Union’s mission and online marketing strategy.

  • Help support and protect our “Brand” by making sure that positive messaging is maintained.
  • Manage online discussions by reading reviews and discussion forums and responding in a timely, professional manner.
  • Regularly monitor and track discussion topics for Senior Management.
  • Increase click-through rates and drive traffic back to the Credit Union’s web site and online applications.
  • Recommend key metrics that must be tracked to analyze the effectiveness of our social platforms.
  • Measure progress and campaign results through Sprout Social or another online marketing metric tool.
  • Recommend and roll out new ways to use the web and social media to reach our key audiences.
  • Participate in marketing strategic discussions.

  • Support and coordinate community event and sponsorship participation with Retail team.
  • Act as liaison with Gen. Y, working with local schools and community groups.



  • Bachelor’s in marketing or communications or equivalent work experience.


  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

  • Knowledge of digital and social media trends, tools and applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in working with the following platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, WordPress, and YouTube.

  • Possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Must be a cooperative team play with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong work and business ethic, reliable and dependable.

  • Strong Interpersonal, project management and time-management skills.
  • Flexible under time requirements and changing deadlines.
