Mass Save Rebates Being Phased Out - April 30th Deadline

3/13/2024

Mass Save Heat LoansMassachusetts is getting serious about sustainability! Mass Save, the state's energy efficiency program, is phasing out rebates and financing for fossil fuel heating and water heating systems. This exciting move reflects the growing urgency to embrace cleaner energy sources and combat climate change.

Eligible natural gas, oil, and propane heating and water heating equipment must now be purchased and installed by August 31, 2024, with all necessary documentation submitted by September 30, 2024. Customers interested in applying for the 0% HEAT Loan for eligible natural gas, oil or propane equipment must request a HEAT Loan Authorization Letter by April 30, 2024. This marks a pivotal moment in Massachusetts' energy landscape, emphasizing the importance of timely action in embracing cleaner and more efficient technologies.

So, what does this mean for you?

Starting in 2024, Mass Save will no longer offer rebates and financing for fossil fuel home solutions. This means that if you're planning to upgrade to a more efficient heating system, now is the time to act. Mass Save will be phasing out these incentives completely by August 2024.

Important Dates to Remember
