Yes, please continue to use your debit/ATM card as per usual. You will be notified of any future changes this summer.
Continue to conduct your in-branch banking at the same branch(es) you use today. Once we convert our data systems in late summer, we will expand your branch services. Until then, it's business as usual.
Continue to make and send your loan payments to the same address as you have previously.
Direct deposits to your Credit Union accounts will continue as usual and require no updates or changes from you.
Deposits are fully insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and by the Massachusetts Share Insurance Corporation (MSIC).
Sharon Credit Union and Crescent Credit Union legally merged on January 1, 2020 to become Sharon & Crescent United Credit Union. Both credit unions will continue to operate independently until system conversion in late summer.
Yes, continue to use your Sharon Credit Union VISA® credit card. Payments should continue to be sent as you do today and contact phone numebrs remain the same.
Account fees will not change as a result of the merger. As a business practice, account fees are reviewed regularly. You will be notified in advance of any future fee changes.

Continue to use Online Banking, Bill Pay and the mobile phone app as usual, using your current usernames and passwords. Future changes to these applications will be communicated to you before our system conversion in late summer.

Interest rates have been adjusted favorably for members at each credit union as a result of the merger.

Membership in the Sharon & Crescent United Credit Union shall be available to persons who:
1. live, work, attend school, college or university, or have a usual place of business in
- Norfolk, Suffolk, Middlesex, Plymouth, Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes and Nantucket counties of the commonwealth of Massachusetts,
- the Providence, Bristol and Newport counties of the State of Rhode Island,
- and the following towns in Worcester county of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: Blackstone, Hopedale, Mendon, Milford, Millville, Northbridge, Southborough, Upton, Uxbridge and Westborough, or
2. are family members of eligible persons, regardless of location.
Family member: a spouse, child, brother, sister, parent, grandchild, grandparent, stepchild, stepbrother, stepsister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or cousin of a member.
School, college, or university: a postsecondary education organization accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education, excluding any organization that offers instruction exclusively via the internet or otherwise does not instruct students at a location within a city, town or county listed above.
Attend: enrolled in one or more courses of study held at a location of such a school, college or university.
Yes, all the contact numbers you use today will remain the same until we convert our phone systems in the Spring. We will update you at that time of any changes to phone numbers.
Yes, please continue to use your current supply of checks. If you're running low, please re-order through the Credit Union using your current account information.
Sharon Credit Union Members: Use Sharon Credit Union ATMs free of charge and be reimbursed for any surcharge or foreign transaction fees at Crescent Credit Union ATMs. Pay no surcharge fees at SUM ATMs and as an added benefit beginning on February 1, 2020, Sharon Credit Union members will enjoy surcharge-free transactions at CO-OP® Network ATMs.
Crescent Credit Union Members: Use Crescent Credit Union ATMs and CO-OP® Network ATMs free of charge. You will be credited for any surcharge or foreign transaction fees at Sharon Credit Union ATMs.
Automatic payments to your credit union loans will continue as usual.
